A theology straight from hell

With my (though not exclusive on going discussion) and Sven’s discussion with Adrian. He has pulled out the big guns. Namely Hell.

He suggests that retributive justice is vindicated by the continued conscious torment of the unelect. The key problem with his theology is that he has failed to see God through Christ. To quote Barth there is no God hiding behind Jesus. Clearly Adrian denies the scriptural doctrine that Christ died for all and therefore that God loves all. It is at this point he must be wrong for Christ died once for all. This then is the declaration of God's universal love.

My plea is that any doctrine must be thought of with a christological centre.

My challenge to Adrian is to show from scripture that Christ did not die for all. If he can do this I will change my views!

I have covered this notion in my post series on TULIP where I make the point that almost all christians believe that Jesus death is not APPLIED to all- or else there would be no hell.

Explain to me how I can escape from hell whilst others go there without some notion of jesus being punished on my behalf.
