Scripture the faithful witness to Jesus Christ
Reading Introduction to Dogmatics, thought this might be a good statement on belief regarding scripture. Obviously following Barth
In calling Holy Scripture the Word of God (and we so call it, because it is so), we mean by it Holy Scripture as the witness of the prophets and apostles to this one Word of God, to Jesus, the man out of Isreal, who is God's Christ, Our Lord and King in eternity. And in confessing this, in venturing to call the Church's proclamation God's Word, we must be understood to mean the proclamation of Jesus Christ, of Him who is true God and true Man for our good.
