The assended Christ

Once upon a time, when i was a spotty teenager I asked a christian who was at bible college wether christ was still human. Thinking that it seemed that he should be, but also having the feeling that he probably went back to being just God. He said that he did not know and it was a controversial issue.

What I fear is that the secound of my inclinations may be the thought of many people in my Church. Who, when praying to Christ(not having the debate about wether all prayer should be addressed to the father) seemed to refer constantly to Christ as if he was God with out being man.

Which seems a fit thing to rant about, sure Christ is divine and should be worshiped. But that divinity has been revealed and still is being revealed by his humanity.

Plus. The sacraments are really great, I wonder why we dont take them seriously enough at church

Thats it I am becoming Orthodox

Woah that's weird, I was just thinking about something along those lines. well, I was thinking that if Jesus is still human (although resurrected human - so a bit different) how does he deal with all those people praying to him? (I know, I think about weird things at 6:30 in the morning!)

I was imagining something along the lines of Bruce Almighty with lots of voices whispering in his head and him not being able to get any sleep! (That's a great film but you might not like it, it's got a rather arminian theology!). Perhaps we need to stop praying to Jesus for a bit - give him a bit of a break ;)
